This class is great for people with all levels of Pilates experience.  For beginners, it is an introduction to the principles of Pilates -- using your body's powerhouse to control your movements, increase strength, improve flexibility and posture, and lengthen and strengthen your muscles.

For those more advanced, it is a good "back-to-basics" workout, using the Pilates "magic circle," weights, and other modifications to work the powerhouse deeply and enhance your form, while still providing a good workout.

You will learn and master 9 beginner mat exercises, 8-10 modified intermediate mat exercises, and will practice other standing weight and balance exercises.

This class encourages proper technique to gain the best results and protect the lower back.
