Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga is a new idea where we do laughter as a form of exercise in a group without using jokes, humor, or comedy. You don't have to depend on your sense of humor or even have one. We "simulate to stimulate", in essence, we fake it until you make it. The laughter will become genuine and flow out like a fountain.

We do not use traditional poses, so anyone can do it. We combine laughter exercises with yoga breathing and this is why it is called Laughter Yoga.

It's deepest impact is that is develops your ability to connect with yourself and others. Laughter has no language, knows no boundaries and does not discriminate. This is what we call the "spirit of laughter". Laughter releases hormones that create a sense of well being, and decreasees stress hormones. It stimulates deep breathing and inproves circulation of both the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. Laughter also triggers a relaxation response that can last up to 45 minutes and also can reduce your pain response. Please join me!
