Susan received graduate training in Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy at Columbia College incorporating psychodynamic theory and body centered therapy approaches. She received post graduate training at the Family Institute at Northwestern University in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) Model. Susan’s theoretical framework grows from her experience of using insight oriented, cognitive and experiential therapies to address the varying needs and styles of communication her clients present.

Susan has been immersed in the practice of Authentic Movement for over 15 years. For the past 3 years she has studied in depth with Janet Adler, one of the pioneering theorists in the development of Authentic Movement. Susan would like to use her training with Janet to pass on the wisdom and power of Authentic Movement to those who enjoy learning about themselves through this unique process.
