Class Description: Hatha Level 1-2
Hatha Yoga Level 1-2 class integrates asana and pranayama. Practioners are introduced to vipassana (insight) and metta (loving-kindness) meditation. Instruction emphasizes developing mindful awareness in each asana with the emphasis on synchronizing the breath within each posture. The class utilizes props to bring physical and mental stability into each pose, to humble the practitioner, and to bring ease to the senses. Hatha Yoga Level 1-2 deepens awareness of yogic philosophy as it relates to practice on and off the mat. This class is open to beginners and advanced practioners alike.
