Heaven Meets Earth Storytime is a free weekly 45 minute interactive storytime for children up to age 7 that meets each Tuesday at 4pm. Nili Yelin, the Storybook Mom is an actress, storyteller, stand up comedian and most important of all, a mom. There is a different theme each week and children will be introduced to stories ranging from traditional fairy tales up to modern day contemporary picture books. Nili incorporates theatre games, improv and storytelling techniques to enourage creativity, imagination and an interest in creating stories of one's own. Children learn to use their own "instrument" which is themselves to explore their voices and learn about telling a story with their whole being. Nili has a theatre degree from Northwestern University, worked in New York as a writer and performer for MTV and Saturday Night Live and performs weekly in many Chicago venues. She narrates podcasts for children for the Field Museum and hosts the Kids Stage at the Chicago Tribune Printers Row Book Fair each summer. For more info on Nili go to
